Account Request

University of Otago Students

NOTE: Please enter your Student ID, this is a multi-digit number which can be found on your Student ID Card above your name - https://www.otago.ac.nz/studentservices/otherservices/otago018288.html

Students of the University should use the Student/Staff Log In button on the Home Page to sign into the system as a participant. You will be directed here with a System Message "Authentication successful. Now you must request an account with this system." The form will be populated with First Name, Last Name, User ID and Email Address, please fill out the remaining details. Psychology students, please select the appropriate courses you are enrolled in.

Non-Psychology students should select the Public Participant course.

Researchers/Staff please contact sona-admin@otago.ac.nz to request an account.

Members of the Public

NOTE: As the Student ID field is required for account creation you can enter the same value you would for User ID

Members of the public, you will need to request an account to access the University of Otago Research Participation System.

Please fill out the Account Information form with your details and make sure that they are correct before clicking the Request Account button.

For members of the public, please ensure that you are enrolled in the Public Participant course.

User IDs may be up to 30 characters in length and contain letters and numbers. To protect your privacy, you will only be identified to researchers by your unique system ID.

Your login information will be emailed to you as soon as you request the account, so you can login immediately. You will need to check your email for specific login instructions. If you have junk mail (spam) filters configured for your email, please configure the filters to accept email from otago-admin@sona-systems.net, as emails from the system will often be sent from that address.
