Welcome to the 31st Australasian Experimental Psychology Conference (EPC'04), hosted by the Department of Psychology, University of Otago. This is the first time the conference is being held outside of Australia, so it is fitting it is at New Zealand's first university. The conference provides a forum for researchers to present work across the broad spectrum of experimental psychology. It runs on the Friday to Sunday, 16-18 April 2004, the weekend following Easter.

The conference is in a new building, the School of Business, adjacent to the Department of Psychology and to the accommodation at St Margaret's College. Apart from participating in the academic parts of the conference, we hope you will take some time to explore the historic campus, picturesque Victorian city, and astonishingly beautiful surrounding regions.

We invite you to submit an abstract or to organise a symposium. See you at EPC'04.
